”I believe who we are as a community is defined by how we take care of those who paved the way for us and how we invest in improving the quality of life for future generations.”

Why you should vote for Linda for District 23:

Community-centered Policymaking

Community-centered policymaking means smart policies that work on the ground and are created from your input. The pandemic has highlighted the needs of Eastern Queens, and Linda Lee has fought to ensure that decisions are made that are reflective of the district. Through multiple public safety town halls with local precincts, and community fairs that bring city agencies to your backyard, Linda will continue to advocate so that these essential resources and opportunities are accessible to all.

Adaptive and Decisive Leadership

Through extensive experience as a nonprofit leader and as Chair of the Committee on Mental Health, Disabilities, and Addictions, Linda has fought tirelessly to secure resources to sustain lifeline services for the community. As our city recovers from the burdens of the pandemic and deals with economic uncertainty,  the need for decisive and adaptive leadership could not be more critical. Linda Lee will continue to lead with conviction and guide the community through any challenges facing the neighborhood.

A Vision for a Sustainable Future

Linda is part of the sandwich generation- the daughter of aging parents and the mother of two kids currently educated through the public school system. A community is defined by how those who paved the way for the next generation are cared for and protected. At the same time, investments to improve the quality of life for future generations are of foremost importance for the live-ability and longevity of the neighborhood. Linda Lee has worked tirelessly to pass legislation to provide culturally competent solutions for aging-in-place in New York City. She knows that the sustainability of the neighborhood depends on fostering a safe and productive environment for the next generation to thrive, which is why she allocated approximately $16 million for 33 schools and 4 library projects across District 23 last year. Linda believes that to build a brighter future for Eastern Queens, there must be investments in preventative solutions rather than prescriptive approaches to community concerns.
